"Stayed here a few times and it doesn't disappoint. German cleanliness and efficiency as to be expected. The rooms are nice, wouldn't describe them as the height of luxury - but this isn't a 5 star hotel, so you get what you pay for! There is no fridge in the room, which is a little strange for nowadays... Wi-fi works perfectly, plenty of parking, all the staff are very nice and accommodating. The general area outside is beautiful, very nice to walk around the lake. The sauna, pool and spa area...

As others have remarked the older gentleman on reception on our arrival wasn't particularly welcoming, in fact he was quite grumpy telling us all the things we couldn't do and that he wouldn't be there after 12am! "I was passing through on my way to the isle of Rügen and had planned to go into Osnabrück for the day. Once there, I felt no need to leave the small town and instead enjoyed not just a gentle amble and some shopping in Bad Laer, but also the hotels pool, sauna and excellent Glühwein."
