Lovely hotel and restaurant on the outskirts of Zurich. Having arrived later than planned and not knowing the area, we dined in the restaurant, which was a nice surprise and may be an even bigger draw than the hotel itself. The dishes were made with care and reasonably priced for the region. The staff were hospitable and efficient. As a renovated older building, the room was spacious and characterful, with exposed wood beams and other preserved details. It was also well appointed and clean. The...

Perfect location to move around zurich

Amazing hotel in every way! beautiful room, great location, gracious-

We stayed here for the last 2 nights of our Switzerland trip. We arrived around 11 am and we were able to check in early. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and the staff were all very friendly. The hotel is right in the middle of restaurants, shopping etc but it also wasn’t loud at night as we slept with the window opened every night. It is a little over a 10 minute walk from Zurich HB which was convenient for a day trip and going back to the airport. As other reviews mentioned, the hotel...

It was a very nice stay, clean, and the staff was great.

Quality room. Beautiful stone stairways. Excellent service at reception desk.

Fabulous

Excellent staff, great location, early check in, small pod-like grouped rooms. 24 hour access to coffee and tea. Comfortable beds too. Would definitely stay again.

Fantastic all around. I travelled as a solo female and felt very safe and comfortable. Staff was AMAZING..

We had a very agreeable stay. The staff were especially knowledgeable and helpful. The area of the hotel known as "Hermann's Wohnzimmer" was a very pleasant place to sit and work with a laptop. The location is a little bit away from the touristy areas, which for us was ideal.

Nice hotel close to touristic area. Good breakfast food selection. Very friendly stuff.

The hotel is very clean and the beds were very comfortable. This property is right where you want to be if you want to shopping, yet it is also very quiet. There are so many places to eat and shop. We spent hours just walking by the river and seeing the sights. We would definitely stay here again

We stayed in the Junior Suite and it offered a nice layout for a family of 4. The location walkable to the Old Town and there was a delicious restaurant in the building.

Hotel is very clean and staff are friendly. Location is good. easy access to Train, tram and bus station.

Good service and great location!

Lots of shopping and sightseeing the day before New Year's Eve. Plenty of good places to eat.

I have stayed at the Altstadt several times over the years, it’s a great boutique hotel in an excellent location in the middle of the old city. Always very clean and accommodating.

It should be a great place to stay in Zurich and very close the ZHR airport. Definitely go back and stay here. Also, this hotel is a few steps from Rumlang Station. Strongly recommend to people.
