"I’ve stayed here three times over the past 10 years. Most recently in October 2026. The property is very well maintained and looks the same as it did 10 years ago. If I am going to West Iceland I always stay at the Fossatun hotel. It’s also a great place to see the aurora."
"We loved the cozy atmosphere we felt upon arriving at the Inn. There's a common area to hang out in with board games to play, with comfy chairs and a dining area aswell. The hosts offered free coffee or tea which was a nice touch. Our room was clean and the beds were comfy. The bathroom was a little small with an awkward curb on the floor for the shower area but thats more of an observation than a complaint. The breakfast was very good. We would definitely stay here again"
"Die Unterkunft befindet sich auf einem Campingplatz, allerdings mit einer hervorragenden Lage alleine über dem eigentlichen Campingplatz (mit dem Auto unproblematisch zu erreichen) und unverbautem Blick.
Frühstück kann im auf dem Campingplatz befindlichen Restaurant zugebucht werden. Das Frühstück war vielfältig und kann wirklich empfohlen werden.
Was Möglichkeit für Wäsche gibt es ebenfalls auf dem Campingplatz, mit 1200 ISK pro Waschgang und noch mal denselben Betrag für den Trockner...
"Attention: The lock of the outer door is defective, never go out without a key! It locks itself, the mechanism to change it is broken. With other doors of this type, you have to actively lock it. After half an hour and several phone calls, help finally arrived. Please have it repaired.
It was also disappointing that the house does not have its own jacuzzi. Here the pictures are definitely deceiving! The hot tub is located at the community house "in the immediate vicinity", which is over 1 km...
"Loved the farm tranquil setting. The kitchen was thoughtfully equipped. The cabin was adorable and relaxing to watch the horses. Host was very responsive to inquiries. Definitely staying there on our next visit!"

"This was my absolute favorite stay on the ring road! I wasn’t expecting much, just by the description and the few reviews that I read, but we really enjoyed the whole property. Check in was easy and they showed us around the property a bit before showing us to our room. The room we had was clean and comfortable. There was even a couple of seats and a small table (we used for cocktail time!).
