"The hotel was good split in 2 one part being over a road. If your staying over the road then you need to go to thevother side for breakfast which wasnt great. However the food was lovely and the staff. This hotel is not for people who dont lik3 noise on a night However didnt both us. I would book again "

"We visit Durham at least once a month & try to stay at the same place all the time however we stayed here on this occasion, as usual place appeared to be closed. Very nice room & clean. Only issue I had was pillows weren’t very comfortable & the noise of a drill going in room next door just after 9am on day of departure, was a bit of a shock. We Would stay again though. "

"I was looking for a hotel close to where I would be working. There was a choice between this and a Premier Inn. The facilities are very similar, but the Bannatyne hotel was £30 cheaper. Will stay again next year."

"You would think for the price, there is something sub-standard about this hotel. Not the case at all. It offers great value for money, with friendly staff and a nice comfortable room. The included breakfast is an added bonus. My daughter was very happy with it. There is also a TGI Friday and KFC across the car park. Snacks are available to purchase in the lobby, and there is also a bar serving snacks. My daughter forgot her toothbrush, so the receptionist was able to provide one for her. Staff...

"Great location hotel. Clean and modern. Didn't have breakfast or dinner but had a late drink in the bar. Very popular with groups of drinkers in the afternoon, early eve. Not a very accessible hotel however, as steps to the many levels. Used lift, but still steps to corridor and steps inside bedroom. location and price were good though."

"I was very happy with my stay. I was here for a run. I had a nice meal which was needed. I was particularly impressed at guest laundry at no extra cost. The staff were friendly and helpful. I asked for a small extension to my check out time and this was not a problem. This was extremely helpful as it enabled me to change after my run. I would definitely stay here again"

"This is a nice hotel located on the out skirts of Newcastle. The rooms are of a good size and the hotel has a very nice bar with a large out door seating area, the bar is used for breakfast where a very good continental and cooked breakfast is also available. The staff are very good but the parking is limited. "

"Absolutely spot on, although the rooms are a little dated they are super clean and spacious. The evening meal choice is great, and the quality is excellent and not over priced. Ideal hotel if you’re visiting the museum as it’s only a 5 minute drive away. Overall we had a brilliant weekend."

"For the price it was excellent value The heating didn’t work in our room (hot water and shower did work and shower was lovely) but we did have a heater which worked a treat. There was complimentary breakfast bag and free coffee machine in the morning "

Nice bathroom, the only little thing i didn’t like was the lack of bath mat for the bath which i find a bit inconvenient cos it could be slippery, but one of the staff members provided me one. The rest was very good, receptionist was really helpful and friendly. "
