"This property is a bit tucked away and not the easiest to access, but once you arrive, it’s well worth the journey. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly, and the complimentary tuk-tuk shuttle service to and from the main road is a thoughtful touch that makes getting around much easier. "Initially put in annexe - terrible , bizarre huge fish tank causing smells throughout building - rooms dated and sub standard.
Stayed one night but then We moved rooms - helpful staff enabled - new rooms better but this is a fairly run down hotel in need of refit"
"We had an absolutely wonderful stay here. The manager Chandana Lakmal and the rest of the staff were attentive to our every need, setting us up with transport to and from Colombo as well as tickets for the ongoing Test match. Everyone was incredibly kind without ever coming off as obsequious. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the property was simply gorgeous - an oasis of utter calm amidst the Galle hubbub. It is well located in that one can walk to the historic Fort area in 20 minutes....

"Great location inside the fort walls, so close to shopping, dining and historic sites. Staff very so nice and helpful, and the breakfasts, which were different every day and were freshly made local food, are probably the best breakfasts we've had in any country when travelling overseas. "We didn’t like our first room and the people at the front desk gave us a different room a few days later…which was so much better! The staff was great, the food was great, and we enjoyed staying there. The pool was small but we enjoyed using it to cool off in. The beach had a steep drop, so was hard if you didn’t know how to swim, but you can walk to the end of the beach and find a gently sloping area to swim in…"
"Brilliant location, this immaculately clean restored home makes a lovely hotel. The rooms are tiny tiny but comfortable. Bathroom a generous size and good shower. Breakfast can be ordered in, they weren't providing their won when I was there. The man who was looking after the place was very helpful. You get a key to your room only, the front doors are open all day and I was always in early at night. Had to ring bell once during the day when he was out but all OK getting in otherwise. Only...
