"After check in we were directed to go back out of the reception building and move all our luggage to another building and walk out to the road side where our room is. Going inside the building is very stressful since we have to carry all our luggage through the stairs by ourselves. No help. Lift layout did not make sense. Bathroom exhaust did not work for the whole duration of our stay. Furnitures are outdated and tv channels always have no signal."

"A charming and old hotel on beautiful grounds and walkable to Glendalough Cathedral. Hotel needs serious updates and maintenance. Broken coffee machines, fire extinguishers hanging on by a thread to the wall. Staff (other than a bartender) were not impressive and food was meh. Staff is worked hard."

"A great B&B in a great location. The exterior left much to be desired…quite worn compared to the pictures. Room was the same but fine. Bed was a bit uncomfortable. Staff was fantastic and helpful, breakfast was fine. The locations was surrounded by night clubs and my first night things were quite loud…second day not as quite."

"We stayed in room 60 at Silken Thomas for 3 nights, the room was lovely, the food was excellent, we had private parking, with code entry, behind the property. But the best part of the holiday was the staff, they were all lovely, especially the owner Brian, and even more so, his wife Beata. Beata could not be any nicer, she made us feel so welcome, nothing was any bother. In a restaurant that was really busy every night, she would come over asking how we were. But the thing that impressed me more...

"Room didn’t have a window to the outside and the walls need more insulation. I could clearly hear my neighbors. Too much light entering the room from around the door cracks. Breakfast was good. Loved the location."
