"We had an excellent stay at Al Castello! Paolo was a magnificent host, with excellent restaurant and entertainment recommendations. He greeted us each morning at breakfast with coffees and special treats, as we watched Mount Etna fuming in the distance. He also helped us park and load the car. The room was clean and comfortable and the hotel itself was convenient for the sights. I would absolutely recommend a stay! Thanks for everything Paolo!"
"FALSE ADVERTISING – NO POOL
We booked this property specifically because the Expedia listing states in multiple places that it has an outdoor pool. This was extremely important to us because my husband has back problems and swimming is part of the physical therapy he needs while traveling.
When we arrived, there was no staff on site and we had difficulty getting in because we were not given adequate check-in instructions. We searched the property for the pool and finally contacted them through...
"The property description is highly inaccurate. There is no buffet breakfast, no pool bar, no beach bar, no beach restaurant, no fitness center. The pool closes every day from 1 pm to 4:30 pm. That is prime swimming time for my family. The place is old and run-down. The positives include a beach front property (30 minutes from Messina train station), beautiful sunsets, espresso and gelato bars, and an pretty seafood restaurant."
"La chambre "économique" que nous avions disposait d'une fenêtre donnant sur un mur : nous étions obligés d'avoir un éclairage en permanence.
De plus, la salle de bain avait un tout petit miroir, difficile d'accès si on est de petite taille."
"I stayed at Hotel Maremonti for 10 days. I left refreshed and full of energy.
For me, the hotel felt more like staying in a small Italian villa than in a traditional hotel, surrounded by a beautiful shady garden. My room was spotlessly clean, and the whole place was quiet and comfortable. I travelled alone and felt very safe throughout my stay.
What touched me most was the warm hospitality and kindness of the hosts and staff. I arrived during the day without realising that the nearby...
"There were clear instructions on access to the rooms. The room was large comfortable and beautifully designed. A very pleasant experience in a great city"
"Location is fabulous with all of the main historical attractions within minutes walk. B& B is very clean as was my room. Lovely common area with sea view. Bed and pillows were pretty good but they definitely need to replace or flip mattress from body indents. Bathroom large with all you need. Very happy to have a kettle and note if there are no tea cups in your room, there is a large cupboard beside the common room that has small cups you can use. My only issue is the very strong smell of...
"Accueil par une personne âgée qui voulait être règlée en cash alors qu'il y avait le sigle VISA sur la porte.. nous avons insisté et payé avec CB.
Petit déjeuner frugal. Vieil hôtel, mais les trois étoiles sont elles encore homologuées????On a l'impression d'être dans une époque c'est dépaysant et drôle."
