"This hotel is listed in Expedia as "Alpenmotel Sauling". The hardest part was finding it. We followed Google Maps to the location but could not find "Alpenmotel" on any building or sign. We went up and down the streets. We finally found "Sauling" and found a self service set of boxes on the outside. We found our name and the keys. There was a building (house) number but no map. Our room was not in the building we found. So we walked up and down the street to find the house number and then...

It is super clean, the proprietor is extremely friendly and knowledgeable, the breakfast includes many types of foods, and the location is less than a 10 min walk to delicious restaurants. "The view from top floor is amazing. The service is very good and responsive to everything we asked. The sauna is absolutely fantastic. On the one negative, the bed is minimally comfortable and the pillows need to be all replaced. Had to ask for extra pillows because there’s literally a handful of stuffing per pillow and adding a second pillow just didn’t help so sleep wasn’t great. Other than that everything is great. "
