"Great staff, very friendly and helpful, great location yet quiet on an upper floor. Heater worked fine, everything fine in room except the shower could not maintain hot water for more than 15-20 seconds at a time, so showers were a bit of a struggle cycling through hot water then suffering cold water and waiting for hot water again. I took 8 showers so time of day did not seem to matter. Shower had a door though so that was good. Reception not on ground level but I liked not having 2...

"Booked for a quick overnighter, we we were there for less than 8 hours. Super basic and super small rooms but easy walking distance to airport for our ridiculously early morning flight. Staff were friendly and helpful. Not the nicest hotel we've stayed at, but definitely served its purpose and was exactly as expected."

"Friendly and helpful staff. Great location and reasonable price."

"Every thing was very good. Staff member was excellent"

"I suppose you pay for what you get. The location was amazing, in the middle of Melbourne and convenient to everything. The staff were very helpful. Sheets and towels were clean. The building, reception, entrance and room very old and tired. Bathroom was clean and bed comfortable. But. Windows broken, picture glass broken, so much dust on EVERYTHING, you could stuff 100s of soft toys. If you are looking for a great location this is it. But it is cheap and nasty"

"Staff were excellent on check-in and kindly gave me an upgrade from a single bed room to a double, which was mmuch appreciated. The room was clean and everything worked fine. Thank you!"

"I was in room 319, room was pretty small but it had everything I needed. A few problems though, one was the air conditioning. It was mounted on the wall in front of where you slept so you always had a breeze on you. Another one was the walls are pretty thin, you could hear your neighbours like they were in the room with you. On Saturday night there is a night club close to the hotel and I literally felt like I was in the club myself. It was very very loud and very hard to get some sleep. Other...

"No continental breakfast, tiny room with uncomfortable couch and chairs, bed was okay. The tiny, deck was filthy with view of garbage dumpsters and garbage. TV only had 3 channels and had two small pots to cook in, no pans. Asked staff about frying pan and they had nothing to offer. Decent location but was surprised how dirty the neighborhood was. You get what you pay for. I would look elsewhere unless you just need to sleep somewhere. Inside was clean."

"Old building"

"Room was clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly on arrival and easy check in. Free parking always a bonus! Westfield across the road. Bar and bistro attached to the hotel, with great meals and service also. Would definitely stay here again."

"Booked a superior room which showed photos of a funky painted room with lots of light and city views. My room was stark white with a window entirely privacy painted so I couldn't see out of my room at all. I had shampoo but no conditioner in the bathroom and the free bottle of wine my room came with at first wasn't in my room, but when I asked for it, turned out to be a $6 bottle of wine. I know ibis is a budget hotel but I won't be making that mistake again"

"Great location, parking right outside our door, spacious and comfortable rooms. Only issue was the noise level of other patrons but being the weekend that's not unexpected and not the hotels fault! All-in-all a pleasant stay. Thank-you:)"
