"we did late-check-in. but the way that pass the key was really irresponsible and NOT safe, I think. I didnt realize her contact & 24hour contact didn't work, so we took long time to check-in (Guimaraes might be a safe place, but...😥😫) Also "the reception opens at 10am" is too late. the price is really reasonable if guests don't do late-check-in. "

"We had 2 rooms and they were both extremely clean and so picturesque. It was a rainy night and our room was a bit chilly but fortunately my son and his girlfriend in the other room prefer a cool room we used the extra blanket in their room and had a cozy sleep. The only less comfortable part was that there was only a single pillow per person and they were a bit small. The breakfast the next morning was amazing, with so much variety and homemade goodness."

"The hotel was spotlessly clean and the room was nice, but perhaps a little dated. There was no shower cubicle but a shower attachment over the bath which was tricky to position and did not appear to be thermostatically controlled so the water temp varied. This however was a minor inconvenience. The staff were lovely. The views from the room over the town and up to the hilltop church were nice. "Nice room but lacking basic necessities. Hot water heater runs out of hot water fairly quickly. Cleaning staff not consistent. Room was not cleaned last night and ran out of shampoo and toilet paper. Property is being run as a cash cow. Missing light bulb cover, toilet paper holder, soap and conditioner holder in shower, mirror in bathroom too low to see face for shaving. Not enough light over bathroom sink. Etc."
