"Amazing history, everywhere you walk. Smelt good despite everything being old so appreciated! Not really established as a hotel though more a monastery maybe. Place was cold. Had to ask for fireplace to be made up. No heating anywhere else in the hotel. No ambiance, dead quiet everywhere. One friendly receptionist / manager, everyone else seemed impossible to get hold of. Food arrived cold, which given the place was cold I guess it wad standard. Some of the food on the menu that they did have,...
"The hotel is uphill with beautiful views of the mountains. The sunset was incredible.
Be aware the road is unsealed the last kilometre and you need to WhatsApp message the hotel in advance of arrive for them to open the entry gate.
Staff were very friendly and accomodating even though our Spanish is terrible.

"Be sure to confirm reservations - there was some confusion about ours. The owner does not speak English so communicate through Expedia. The hot water was not working (was fixed eventually) and the place was a bit difficult to find. However, it was clean and comfortable - there was even a hot tub with jets in the bathroom. The owner tried very hard to help us. I would recommend staying, just keep the above in mind."
