"We stayed in the week of the transition, owners taking over the management after a leasing of the property. So, we experienced some of the service issues that one can naturally expect when a new management is arriving. Nevertheless the staff was excellent and predisposed to overcome all those difficulties. Otherwise the location is good and with an outstanding view of the Alps. Overall a very good stay."

"Our room was large and comfortable, we had the usual pedestal fan, not ideal as it was very hot, but it certainly made a difference. We had booked and paid for a lake view room. There was not one available but the courteous staff were very helpful and quickly offered us a one night refund. We appreciated this and enjoyed our stay."

"The hotel is centrally located in the medieval town of Gruyere. The staff were wonderful, the room was great. They have a restaurant with great views, a herd of deer appeared while we were having dinner. There is no elevator so if you have any mobility issues be aware. The staff will take care of bringing up your luggage for you. "

"The room was great, just as described and the bed was pretty comfortable. There is a little noise from the train station which is very close, but its not too bad and didn't stop us sleeping. My major gripe is check-in. We arrived on a Sunday and hadn't been sent the codes. The building was unmanned, and it took more than 15minutes for the 24/7 helpline to answer. When they did they were able to send the codes pretty swiftly but didn't provide an explanation as to why we hadn't received an email....
