"The location of the hotel was excellent. The beach area and swimming pool were great.
The room was clean but a bit dated. There was a lot of noise on the Saturday night coming from people in the streets outside which made it difficult to sleep. It was quieter on the other nights.
The handle on the room door was broken and kept falling off, this made it very difficult to close the door. We mentioned this to the staff on reception a couple of times, hoping it would be sorted but they didn’t do...
"We only stayed for 1 night, the staff were so lovely and helpful, really genuine and friendly. The hotel is very far out of the city Center and not in a great location for walking about with kids, the room was large and had everything we could need, some areas looked worn and the beds were very small, other than that there was nothing to complain about."

"Het hotel is gevestigd in een patriciersbuis in het centrum van Aalst. Het ontbijt was prima. We zijn goed geholpen nadat wij (rond middernacht!) ons sleutelkastje kwijt waren.
Minder vond ik het ontbreken van airco, de de zware en warme dekbedden en de zachte kussens met schuimrubberen vulling. Maar al met al wel een mooie plek"

There is free drinking water in the lobby though. Building is very old and not well maintained. Really steep stairs to the first floor. Even though the place is mostly empty they put you in rooms next to other people and the noise from the hallway and the garden is crazy loud, paper thin walls.

"Heel vriendelijk personeel en prima ontbijt! We sliepen in het kloostergedeelte en de mobiele airco maakte wel veel kabaal. Maar de temperatuur was uiteindelijk wel goed (ondanks de hitte buiten) en we hebben een paar heerlijke dagen gehad!"
