"Absolutely horrible - probably comparable to the worst truck stop you can imagine. Terrible service, staff were lethargic and unhelpful. Guests were loud, coming and going all night - locking and unlocking doors, smoking in their rooms - which filters into your room. My shower was mouldy and there was no water at all in the morning to even take shower. As a woman travelling for business, I did not feel safe staying there."
"The resort was a dream location, well kept and maintained. all the staff were excellent and professional in their attention to our needs during our stay. I cannot fault them at all.
Their guides are excellent and very knowledgable fo the battlefield sites and the history of the Zulu war.
I would highly recommend them to anyone wishing to visit the area 100%.
Special thank to Bryan who led our battlefield tours to Rourke’s drift and Isandlwana, he is very very capable and a great tour host. "
"The Matatane camp was a unique stay on a beautiful property. The staff was really helpful, the food was delicious, and the scenery was unparalleled. A great place to stay for ventures into Babanango Game Reserve."
"I did make a booking for chalet number 321 in Goodersoon resort but unfortunalely i was disappointed about no internet no DSTV no phone even i did request several times in reception but nothing done. "
"Have just left this amazing place today for the 4th time. I could write a 300 page review praising how much i love to come here. There is nothing i can say negative about the lodge/guest house (stayed in both); the beautiful area; staff or food. I’ll be back next year, providing I’m breathing and really cant wait. Thank you Nikki and family for sharing your home with us to enjoy. "
"A must see! I highly recommend that you come and stay here.
The views from our room across the valley were jaw-droppingly beautiful. Our chalet was very spacious and decorated to a high standard. Kitchen had everything you need for self catering. The property was clean and tidy throughout.
The team was super friendly and helpful and made us feel very much at home.
The tour of the battle sites was informative and really transported us back in time for a slice of Anglo-Zulu history. "
