The house is a perfect example of 1920s LA style (it could be a movie set), decorated with an eye for the exotic and comfortable. The views of the LA basin from the garden are expansive. "In defense of the property there was a major renovation demolition project going on when I stayed there which caused a huge mess everywhere and shut down many parking spots and dirt and debris was everywhere. Jackhammer work started at 8:00 AM. Comfortable room with a great bed and good shower pressure and plenty hot water. Wanted to walk to the convention center but was too far for me. Overall it was a good stay but would rather be in walking distance to the Convention center."

"I purchased a package at Westin with breakfast included for two. I like to start my day and not look for place to eat. We stayed at the hotel for 1 night and were eager to begin our day. When we came to the dining room we were informed that our breakast will cost us in the area of $60! We showed our reservation that we made through expedia and were informed that it is the hotel police and that we have to deal with the front desk, nothing we said made any difference. I thought that to pay for a plate ( it was not even continental breakfast) of eggs and half cooked potatoes and a plate of salmon and bagel combined total over $80 ( together with what we already paid to Expedia) was to say the least a bit much. My husband got a little upset and told me to pay whatever and start our day. We did not come here to argue and waist time instead of going to Huntington Botanical gardens. At the end of our breakfast we were told that the charge will be something around $13. Why $13 I dont know. We signed the receipt and left tips in cash not wanting to punish the server. I went to the front desk where I showed them my reservation that I made with Expedia and they did confirm that it stated that breakfast was included BUT it was the policy of the hotel that even to their high level clients they only gave #30. After a long "discussion" they agreed to remove the charge. I do not trust them to do since they did not honor the contract in the 1st place. It a SCAM reserve elsewhere."
