"Stayed at Hoopers Hotel for two nights with my wife and baby and had a really nice stay. The room was comfy, we all slept well, and the sea view was lovely. Nice little touches with tea, coffee, snacks, and a ceiling fan to keep the room cool. Even though it’s on a busy road, it was surprisingly quiet. Really good value for money. We would definitely stay again."

"This was our first time staying at a hotel that wasn't staffed. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The accommodations were very modern. Plenty of hot water. Easy access to both train and bus stations. Walking distance to a variety of restaurants and grocery stores. Quiet. We didn't hear street noise. Stairs are steep, as others have noted. "Tired, run down. Did make me slightly nostalgic I suppose, remembering the 1980s with the food and decor. The very few Staff that were there (if you could find them) were lovely, but I couldn’t overcome the feeling that the place had been deserted and left to rot. Breakfast near inedible but evening meal was ok. Nonetheless, not terrible value for money."
