" I had a very nice stay at the Puerto Mayor. It was a good value for the cost especially since it included breakfast. The hotel personnel were pleasant and the room was quiet. I stayed there before a cruise and the cab ride to the terminal only took a few minutes. That was a real convenience. The hotel was within sight of the ship and no hotel was any nearer. I got to San Antonio by bus from Santiago and the taxi ride from the bus terminal to the hotel only took about 15 minutes."

"Bad experience.... check out the photo ... for example... do you see curtains ? Nope .... all the light coming in the room at all hours ... that is just one of 20 things ... the cat eating the breakfast on the kitchen counter when the girl preparing the food went outside ... too many people for the bathroom .... etc etc etc ... "

"Hernan the owner is an absolute gem. He provided an excellent introduction to the area and gave us a bottle of champagne to ring in the new year. Keep in mind, this is an apartment, not a fancy hotel. The room had everything you need, the sheet are clean etc... but expect some wear-and-tear and the need to fidget with the showers. Also, the place is only five minutes from fun bars, restaurants and night life. "

"This is an economy stay more than a full hotel experience. There is no elevator, and in southern summer the upper floors are very hot. There is no air conditioning and no fans in the room. So even after the air outside cooled down the room was quite warm. I had thought there was a roof restaurant but it is more a shared kitchen with no restaurant service. Even with all that, it was a good choice for my group. Also, at check in, they required the paper from Chilean customs and immigration...

"We had a great stay here! It’s in a great area, very walkable to the sights. Room was comfortable and clean, nice patio, and breakfast was delicious. Rene is so friendly and helpful and makes great pisco sours! :)"

"The view is perfect, the team are amazing, the beds are also comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and being able to eat on the terrace in the sunshine was a great way to start the day. The buses are frequent and the walk down into town is great in daylight, I wouldn't walk by myself at night but as a couple no problem."
