"When we have arrived, the hotel was “closed” with no reception. Sign at the door asked us to check in in the nearby Shell petrol station. The station staff was helpful but with poor english therefore apart from obtaining the keys, we were really not given any other info (eg, to use side doors to get in to the hotel building - we had to figure this out thanks to another sign) so the initial experience was… unusual. "This is a simple business type hotel. When we checked in there was a long line and the front desk person didn’t even talk to you when you checked in. He waved you forward with your fingers as he was arguing on the phone with somebody about a bill. Not exactly a warm, hospitable greeting. The room itself was fine. Clean with good beds. If you’re looking for a warm shower in a good bed, this hotel would suffice. I would, however, expect a much more appropriate greeting from the staff."

"Hotel was perfect for a short stay for one in Hanau. Walkably close to the train station and city center. The only thing I didn’t like was that the room did not have A/C and the days were 90 degrees. I could have managed without A/C, as I am normally not an A/C person, but the windows did not have screens so I couldn’t leave them open overnight. IMHO if you dont have A/C, af least have screens."

"Basically an un-manned hotel. The cards issued by the check-in machine would not open the door for myself or others. I had to wait until another customer inside the building walked by the glass door and beckon them to come over and open it. "
