"We arrived around 10:30 pm. There were bars in the windows of the run down looking one story building. We pulled into the garage next door and were promptly approached by 2 different men wanting to sell us something. The neighborhood looks run down and drug infested. We did not feel safe to stay there. "

Hidden Valley Preserve was a nice surprise. Only been there a couple times but found it had a lot to offer-lots of critters (frogs, fish, snakes, turtles, birds), a suspension bridge over the brook, easy to more challenging trails. The best part was the old quartz mine, that was in use from 1800-1915. The trail becomes a sparkling white, a mix of fairytale and snow storm.
