"It was a simple hotel but very nice and clean and had what was needed especially as I was there for the Great North Run. Would have been good to have got aome recommendations for food as no onsite restaurant so would have been good to hear where was good for breakfast and evening meals."

I know you get what you pay for, & I already knew the room did not have a private bathroom, but it was very bleak and very disappointing. I would not recommend unless desperate."

"Slight delay to get in when it was late (22:50): several buzz a few mins apart and nobody was answering the phone. Luckily someone came in. Otherwise really good stay: friendly staff, bedroom spacious, bed comfortable and great facilities."

"The property itself was well kept, clean, and had good utilities. Parking was not at all clear, since it seemed to be in a permit-only area so I parked about 10 minutes away on foot. Strange area to stay in, but again, the place itself was nice and well kept."

"The check-in process was confusing as I didn’t know I had to go to the Holiday Inn. Maybe that’s on me as the information could’ve been in an email. However, James at the Holiday Inn got me checked in quickly and was very kind in the process. The apartment suited our needs and we enjoyed our stay. The only thing I can recommend is a fresh coat of paint and some other minor decor changes to spruce the place up a bit. "
