"Nice, pet friendly hotel. Things were pretty clean. Hot water with good water pressure. Comfortable bed. Make sure you leave by 11am or they will disable your key. We were loading the car and got locked out at 10:51am. Had to walk around the outside of the bldg to go ask them to re-activate the key for the last 10 minutes so we could finish loading the car. Decent indoor pool and hot tub. However, the hot tub was on the fritz and the jets barely worked. We made the best of it though. Overall...

"We stayed in a double queen room at Boxwood Lodge. Upon arrival staff was friendly and helpful. First room TV wasn’t working properly, changed room for us. Room was spacious and looked like it was somewhat updated, beds were comfortable and the linens were clean. Bathroom is in need of some updating. Worked fine but needs a facelift. Grounds are satisfactory. Only problem was we were on the first floor of the two story queen building. People in room above were very noisy until 1am....

Loved the tap room and gift shop along with the pickle ball, cornhole, and variety of family games available to play indoors or outdoors. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The live music on the patio on Saturday evening added to our enjoyment of our stay. We definitely plan to return! "

Two things not so great.1) No window at least in our room. 2) paying for parking in a gravel lot down behind hotel across a street. A good 100 yard walk up hill to get to hotel.over all I would still give a 3.5 out of 5 rating. "

"This was our second stay at The Hemlock Inn. The rooms have a small refrigerator, a microwave, a full-size drip coffee maker, pottery coffee mugs, and real wine glasses. The location is perfect, as the Hemlock is just one building away from Main Street Blowing Rock, so it’s an easy walk to all the charming shops and many great restaurants in downtown, and very near the city park.
