"The family that run the hotel make the experience they are really helpful and accommodating. Helped us book Halong Bay tour and our bus back to Hanoi. Spoke good English which is helpful. Rooms were a little dated but were comfortable and a decent size. For the price you can not fault this hotel. Would recommend. "

But it takes less than 10min to get there by Grab Cab. "I had a very excellent stay at the BBQ Hostel, Ms. Dinh helped me a lot with the travel/transportation and trip arrangements. Many thanks for the great support. I’m just wondering why the BBQ Hostel got only 2* in Hotels.com? The interior is new and modern and I had my own bathroom for an affordable price. There are still some construction ongoing in the area but it didn’t bother me at all. I will definitely come back if near by."

"Amazing hotel for the price, the rooftop is stunning. Power goes out sometimes but this is no issue of the hotel as when we went out you could see it was the whole city. The main issue for this is the elevator doesnt work so if you have mobility issues ask to stay near the lobby floor. They did have us out of the pool twice in one day to add chemicals but it was okay, it would help to have more shade on the roof as it got too hot. breakfast was good but no coffee which we thought was strange....
