"Pros: Convenient place to stay for Redwood National Park. Staff was friendly, room was clean and quiet, and felt safe. Breakfast had lots of options. Great shower and no problems with the wifi. Cons: The outdoor patio area did not look quite like the picture and they charged us for a washcloth with makeup on it which is unusual, so be aware of that. Overall good place to stay. "

"Let me start by saying how impressed we were with this Super 8 Motel's plumbing system. It is a rare thing for a budget Motel to have both excellent water pressure AND temperature control. If you closed your eyes while in the shoower, you could almost imagine a much more luxurous hotel. But this Arcata Super 8 is a budget stop in every other regard and is not pretending to be anything else. I respect that solid decision to keep it real. "Very comfortable beds and the room was very clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. A quick trip to see our granddaughter for a few hours. The Mexican restaurant at the hotel was amazing. We had a great time and we got the rest we needed before driving home."

"I was surprised, after inquiring with the front desk, that housekeeping does not automatically change bed linens or make up the room unless asked except on checkout. This is definitely a change since pre-COVID. Other than that, fair price for a large room."

"Wasn't informed when you stay for more than one night your room wasn't cleaned nor were you furnished new towels, wash clothes, etc. unless you made a request for same at the office. The people staying in the room next to ours spent most of the time in their car smoking. Didn't know their was a hundred dollar room deposit upon checking in. The guest should be informed of these things up front and not find out after the fact. After saying all these I would stay a Moterl 6 again."

We loved the convenience of cooking our own meals and having such close proximity to Sue-Meg. We fell asleep each night to the barking of the CA sea lions and the roar of the surf. Great place! "
