"Quite a way out of the centre (over a mile from the station not good if you’re without a car). I was woken at 03:45 by a party in the next room, out on the adjacent balcony. I called reception and 10 minutes later all was quiet. With breakfast at chf 19 each, we thought we’d go for the McDonalds next door - closed until 10:00!"

There were 2 small negatives for us - 1. There is no elevator, and we had suitcases which we had to carry up several flights of steps to the motel rooms on 3/F; and 2 - our shower flooded the bathroom (obviously the shower door doesn’t seal...

"This is a really unique and quirky property! We really enjoyed our room. We booked the top attic room with 5 twin beds and our kids/teens loved it! Really unique space with interesting history. I won't recommend it to people with mobility issues, as the stairs are steep and the ceiling has low beams. But for us it was a really fun experience. Other rooms may not be this way. Self check-in was easy! You just push open the old wooden door to enter the hotel. Once in the entryway, there is a ATM...

"Very cozy room, with nice mountain view, quiet location, very helpful owners. The breakfast is consistent and the restaurant provides good choices for dining in. I enjoyed a three days stay here, for hiking - many choices nearby. I will like to visit again."

"The host was very nice and breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed a coffee as we watched the sun rise hit the mountains from the comfort of their assigned tables. Our host Renee was phenomenal and spoke very good English. The front desk is closed on Wednesday so if you plan to check in on Wednesday you will need to use cell service or use an app like whatsApp to call them. "

"Nearly perfect stay despite unseasonably warm weather. Very accommodating owners. Pretty waterfall within easy walking distance of the property. Small herd of cows, complete with bells, being herded up the hillside only added to the charm. "

"Great location. Old building, but that is ok. Main issues was pricy compared with what you get: cleanliness was very bad. I did the check-in on Thursday and first time they went to the room to clean it was on Saturday. The bed sheet was like a net and transparent (poked thru). Everything but hygienic. Everybody was smoking inside.The breakfast was really poor. No English!"
