"No one present for check in - felt a bit ‘cold’ - not temperature. Just feeling. No tea & coffee making facilities apart from an extortionately priced vending machine. Also my room was room 1 which was right by the front door, so I heard EVERY guest arrriving, even at 2 & 3 am. The bedroom, shower & room generally was fantastic however so these are just niggles. For the price, it was good value. "

"Place is great for families and I have a family of 5. 3 minute or less walk from the beach. Ocean House provides rooms that are more like small Loft apartments! We were able to cook and store all of our food. Dishes were provided in the room. The kids loved it . Would stay here again. "For the price this place was awesome. Yes, it is an older budget hotel- awesome desk staff. Very good location - walkable to food stores, busses and tram stops close by, close to the embassies (we were there to get our stolen passports replaced). Great value. "

"The property is in an older building, it is a walk up to the room. Though it is right near the river and easy to get to from the Centraal station. Breakfast was at their other location the Rembrandt Hotel. A vegan breakfast is available and they accommodated our request, though they didn’t have any non dairy milk or cream for the coffee. The staff was friendly, and helpful. It was only a short walk to anything we needed."

"Very basic room. Bath towels minute - size of normal hand towels and inadequate. Shower OK but no extractor fan so whole room steamed up quickly. Room on ground floor very noisy when other guests return. I would classify this hotel as student style accommodation."
