"The female staff was excellent. We were able to book sightseeing trips and seek their recommendations around Oaxaca. One male staff member was rude and inattentive- he made us wait outside for 10 minutes at 10:30 pm before opening the door to let us in. We complained and the management apologized. All in all it was a pleasant stay. "

"Nice place. It's a hostel but felt like a secure budget hotel. Clean and neat. My only 2 complaints are that there was no fan in the room and it was extremely hot. There are no windows to outside si there was no air to flow. It was rough. Also, it was extremely noisy and you can hear everything from he other rooms. At 530am someone started playing music loudly in the room below us. I had to ask the staff to talk with the room. Otherwise, great stay for the price. "

"Hotel Mayis is well situated close to all in walking distance. The rooms are small, beds are comfy, no safe or mini fridge, tv is small good channels, wifi and good AC. This hotel is great as a long stay or just a few days. The staff was always available and courteous, helpful and friendly."

I enjoyed my stay enough to extend it by three nights! It's a little walk to many of Oaxaca's sites, restaurants, squares, markets, etc. Overall great experience!"

"This was a great spot, the ladies working there were really friendly and helpful. Hotel is about 10-15 min walking from el zocalo (centro). There’s a mercado (el centenario) right around the corner to eats. The hotel can be a bit challenging to find because they don’t have a name posted outside but it a light pink building right across the park. We were really happy with our stay and recommend this to anyone traveling to Oaxaca. "
