"It was a great hotel, it was cheap and very clean. The staff were patient and considerate. The fact that there was even an option for single person rooms was awesome. Good option for those of us who don't exactly make a lot. Sometimes, I walk past the building because the buildings are so packed together, it's noticeable enough to identify it though. It has the lettering right above the building."

"We have stayed at Koiya (which means small Koifish) for 6 days and couldn't have made a better choice. It is not only a very beautiful traditional Machiya (japanese style wooden house) but also offered a very friendly experience all around. "This is a great beach side hostel. I really enjoyed my stay here. The beds were massive with a lot of space inside your capsule area. And I'm tall so it worked for me. The property was very clean and the bathroom/shower area was really good. The only downside is that you cant cook aside from using the microwave but the restaraunt attached is great and the staff are amazing. We felt really welcomed. "The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, they kindly allowed me to practice my bad Japanese but they also spoke some English, so it was easy to communicate. As I was leaving they gave me a little origami pig as a good luck charm - very sweet. I was in a mixed shared room which was very clean and comfortable. The facilities were great, with showers, a laundry room and a private bathtub which you could rent for an additional ¥300. The hostel is conveniently located near to many shrines...
