"We visited in wJanuary from the United States and absolutely loved our stay. The hosts are extremely helpful, and offer transportation to/from ski rentals, slopes, restaurants, and hot spring/onsen for bathing. The host gave us recommendations for dining and we felt like we were at a 5-star resort with no worries. Very cozey stay for those seeking and enjoyable adventure to Zao Onsen. "Hotel Kikuya was a nice hotel, and my friends and I enjoyed our one night stay there. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for somewhere to stay near Yamagata-shi. ARRIVAL: We had rented a car and were following the Google map trying to find the hotel, but we were unable to find it without calling the hotel.
