"The property was very clean; inside our room and around the property. Everything looked as is from the pictures. For what we paid, we definitely feel it was highly inflated due to the 4th considering we just came from an AirBNB in Camden that was top notch compared to this. We booked this city late, which is our fault. The view itself was great (if you got a room facing the harbor) and a small amount of stores/places was nearby to walk to. The drive to Bar Harbor was only 20 minutes, which...

"We were greeted warmly at reception and upon questioning about restaurants nearby, a few were recommended and we chose one.
We were impressed with the room cleanliness. Upon returning for the evening, we sat outside for a while in front of the fire pit, a nice amenity.
The breakfast was also superb for its content, and the service person was very attentive.
The other staff in the hallways were also cordial.
We will return if we're in the area again."

"I chose this one over others for pool because was going to be hot weekend and the pool was dirty and not open. First day they said would be ready for tomorrow but when we left 2 days later still no pool. The room we got had a bathroom sink so clogged the water wouldn’t drain at all. They had no maintenance on site so they had to put us in another room. Just inconvenience to pack up and relocate. I would not stay there again."

"The room was very clean. Dog friendly with items to use (bonus). The view was very. nice. Nice having paper towels available. Limited on towels only one large towel and one wash cloth per the two guest capacity. Surprised the couch and chair was well used and sunk into it. Not very comfortable. When moved the curtains, had an allergy reaction sneezing and stuffy nose (I don’t have allergies and not sure why?) Bed was comfortable. Room offers umbrellas to use another nice touch. "I loved this place. The common rooms were so lovely and full of fresh plants and flowers. The room was cozy and the view of the property and the ocean were incredible. Books and records and coffee and places to relax. The owner was so kind and hospitable. We really enjoyed this special motel! Will book again when we’re back in the area."
