"Hotel was great, as were the staff. The location is presumably convenient for those wanting to stay a short night near the highway, but there's definitely no ambience. Although the village is not far on foot, you'd never know it."

It’s a shame Istres doesn’t have much life compared to other areas along that coast. "

"A complaint regarding the stay was down to hotel.com not explain there are 2 types of accommodation, one being in the main hotel and the other in what can be described as a studio with a sink. The place we stayed had a laminate floor in a very poor condition, the bathroom very small and grubby, the bathroom door would not close, in all a very disappointing 2 day stay. "The hotel is well situated to Arles, yet quiet and quaint. The pool and sitting area offered comfortable opportunity for outside relaxation. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant is pleasant, well attended, with a superb chef, offering excellent 3 course dinners. Our stay was most enjoyable and we recommend it for those who are tired of crowded downtown or chain hotels."

"Location is lovely in the sweet town of Maussane. That said, the rooms are run down, the floor was dirty and the beds not that comfortable. The duvet wasn't in a cover, just laid out on the bed. Very simple breakfast offering, nothing to stop flies or wasps sitting on the food. "

"A little off the beaten path, the quiet Le Madaleno was exactly what we needed for our first stay in the south of France. The hosts were friendly and extremely welcoming people - even putting up with my abysmal attempts at speaking French. The pool was clean and inviting - much appreciated in the midst of a heat wave. The breakfast food and pizza dinner were delicious and beautifully presented. "
