"The facility is an old hotel whose rooms have been updated. They still have the creaky old floors, though there are rugs on them now. We choose to stay there knowing that, and because it was one block away from the Nauvoo Temple. The bed was great. We had to drive to another facility where we checked in and where the free breakfast was."
"Check in took a LONG time...15 plus minutes. We discovered after pulling the bedding down for the night that one side of the sheet had a huge hole. My husband got his foot caught in it. Even if we would have wanted to call the front desk...no phone. The shower had hair from other guests in it. How do you miss that much hair when cleaning???? Our room phone didn't work or even have a cord connected to it and we had an emergency and had to call for an ambulance. Thank goodness for cell phones! Due...
"Upon checking in the front desk lady was curt and was quick in getting us checked in. She reminded us there was absolutely no late check outs.
Entering our room there was an overwhelming smell of cleaning solution and mildew. I opened the window to air it out but it wasn't enough when it was bedtime. There were no other rooms at the hotel and all the other hotels were booked due to the tournament.
The sprinkler was missing from the ceiling.
There was water damage on the walls and door.
When...
"Ice machine broken, pop machine only would take quarters. Nobody at front desk to check in. The place definitely needs some tlc. First time & the last time we will ever stay there."
"While the staff was very polite they were working against a clearly aging "landlord special" property. This at best is a 80.00 per night hotel. To charge 130.00+ a night for a stay here is absolutely a slap in the face. The toilets flushed nerve rackingly slow, the shower curtain rod was almost falling off the wall. Showers water pressure was very low and took 30 minutes to rinse shampoo out of hair. The ceiling in the bathroom was cracking and peeling off, there was a blood stain on our...
"I didn’t have any issues with the staff, the cleanliness, or the amenities, however, I did find what looked like a mouse that chewed into one of the breakfast items."
"Our room was very dirty. The bathroom mirror had what can only be described as someone floss their teeth and whatever came from between their teeth, landed on the mirror and it was never cleaned. I have pictures to prove it. The bathroom was just filthy. The edge of the tub did not have the tile up to the tub so that along there just caught a bunch of dirt and stuff that was not getting cleaned. Our bedsheets had so many stains on them. The sink faucet had what could only be described as spit...
"I had a problem with the showerhead not working properly. It took three visits to the front desk before it finally was taken care of over a day later."
"Overall good, clean, hotel room. The restaurant is closed down when I was there in October 2026, which was a bummer. Other than that it was fine. Breakfast was minimal, but fine. I would stay there again."
