"Approaching from the main road on the unpaved street with partly finished neighbouring buildings was uninviting. Exterior of the riad looks nice but it faces onto the garden and isnt within view. Interior is tastefully decorated but the smell of the nearby farm animals wafting through the building was unpleasant. Kasbah AIt Ben Damiette. We stopped here at this renovated kasbah for lunch en route to Ouarzazate. They have done the most incredible job restoring this with gorgeously decorated rooms. An older French couple own it and host travelers from around the world. And the food - so very delicious. This is an oasis in the desert on so many levels.
