"This was my first visit to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and I booked the Birchy motel as it looked easy to find and had good review. Not only was it easy to find, the view of Lake Superior from our second floor room was amazing!!! The room itself was quite large, with a microwave, mini fridge/freezer, and sink. "Great stay, very nice place. The only complaint I have was the bed was not comfortable, but that could just be me. I’m used to memory foam so the bed was a bit firmer than I am used to. Overall though, was a very nice stay and I would definitely stay again in the future. "

"Perfect place to stay for the night before starting the Lakshore Trail in Pictured Rocks. Convenient for restaurants and about 2 miles from the Munising Ranger Station for the shuttle bus. Couldn't ask for a better location or motel. Will stay here next time."

"Would definatly come back, room was clean,updated and easy walking distance to downtown. Only 2 small things stood out..No soap in the shower & should be a sign labeling where the "OFFICE" is. Being a first timer at this hotel we walked around the entire building trying to locate it."

The staff is nice and helpful - especially Susan! The check-in/check-out process was super easy. Grocery store, bars, restaurants, dispensary within a few blocks. Nothing fancy but a good deal for such a last minute purchase. "
