"The location is perfect for a great view of Porto with all amenities close by. The property is a vintage hotel look but could use some updating in rooms with some fresh carpeting and maybe some repairs to some of the walls. Overall very clean. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast views were beautiful. Could use an updated coffee machine at breakfast time."
"We stayed at Ibis Porto São João for two nights and found the location very convenient, with Uber making it easy to get around. The room was simple but very clean and had what we needed for a short stay. The garage was also easy to access.
The best feature was the small mall underneath the hotel, accessible directly by a connecting staircase. It had several places to eat and a laundromat, which was especially handy during our trip. Breakfast was okay."
"Great location, walking distance to local attractions, restaurants and cafes.
The staff was friendly and helpful, parking off side but convenient.
The hotel it's old but well maintained."
"We arrived at the property and noted to be warm and somewhat humid inside the unit. We noticed that the unit is not blowing cold air. The fan was working well though. We contacted the responsible party. He guided me to some setting changes but, it didn't change anything. The outside street air was much cooler than inside. We left the windows open. But the street traffic noise was too loud and flies and bugs kept flying inside. We could not sleep much. They should not rent the unit if this...
"The staff was very friendly, and both the property and my room were clean. The location was convenient to the center of town, and street parking was easy to find. I especially appreciated the magazines in different languages provided in the room, as I love to read at night and had forgotten to bring my own. The bed was also very comfortable, and I had a great night's sleep."
"The room was very comfortable and larger than most I’ve stayed in on this trip. There is a bakery on the corner for morning coffee and custard tarts and a restaurant on the next corner for easy dinner. It’s quiet by being away from Ribeira but still walkable to most sites, especially going towards the river which is mostly downhill. And Porto has good public transport for the way home. I enjoyed my stay."
