"Near train station which was nice. Is harder to find as it is inside of an overhang off the street. Once you find it its easy to navigate to as near main dinning and shopping area. I went during a slow time of year, but got a little street noise but not much. Good outlet and mini area for luggage. I had 3 bags (size of airplane carry on) and all fit under bed. In summer, the sleeping area might get a little stuffy as no vent, but if you have a mini fan this shouldnt be an issue. Receptionist...

"I really loved this retro hotel on top of the mountainside. I had the mysterious looking onsen all to myself several times around 9-10 pm and it was so cool. The view is amazing and the food was very good. Just know that you are really in the countryside and to get to Onomichi it is going to take at least an hour using public transit. The room I had was spacious, comfortable, and nicely designed.
