We had a room with a window overseeing building’s pipes and cables, no daylight - so that’s the only negative, but can work for one night stays, especially that the hotel is in a great location. It is close to both train station and ferry port, both of which are only within five minutes walking distance on a flat road, which is a big plus in this region, because some hotels or train stations may be on hills. "Genova Italy has so many grand buildings that have multiple use. The Olympic Hotel is in one of these buildings, with an old fashioned elevator, high ceilings, marble and ornate carvings. The Hotel is on the 4th floor and the management is very friendly and accommodating. The location is perfect for sightseeing, shopping, restaurants and transportation. Good value in a beautiful Italian city."

"Staff is friendly and accommodating, even if they are not always present at the desk nor speak English. Air conditioning is an extra charge, but can open the windows to get some circulation. There's a nice deck with two chairs and a small table. No in-room safe. Shower is in the middle of the bathroom and only curtain, not a tub or stall, so entire bathroom can get wet if you're not careful. One block from the beach. Two blocks downhill from the train station."
