"Das Zimmer war leider nicht sehr sauber, wenn auch sauberer als der Zugang zu diesem. Der Aufzug und der Rest vom Treppenhaus waren SEHR verschmutzt. Wir waren im Dachgeschoss und es war sehr warm. Leider gab es nichtmal einen Ventilator. Wenn man mit offenen Fenstern schlafen muss, ist es durch den Verkehr SEHR laut.. Für eine Nacht war es okay, mit Kindern würde ich lieber eine Alternative suchen."
"We recently stayed at the Mullers studio on our road trip through the Alps. The area is beautiful and very quiet - places close around 9.30. We found an amazing swimming lido about 10 minutes walk and realised it was half price after 5pm so spent our nights there.
We booked a studio so didn't have any amenities for cooking however the studio was spacious and gave us enough space. We did have issues with the Aircon which my husband solved and an issue with one of the blinds. We did report this...
"Charming independent hotel. Pet-friendly and (for humans!) a tasty breakfast buffet is included.
Our room was small but we had booked the cheaper option and it was only for one night, so it was perfect for us.
Parking is free on-site. (Not to be assumed in Europe!)
This does not pretend to be a luxury hotel. But it’s clean and tidy and excellent value for money."
"Difficult to find, problems with check in, unkempt floors, extremely poor lighting in the room, 1/4 roll of toilet paper when we arrived, basically no amenities and the room uncomfortable and as basic as it could possibly be. I would not recommend this place if you expect even simple cleanliness, staffing and basic amenities."
"A great value and clean hotel for a quick stopover right in the middle of town. The self check in was easy and clear comms from the staff by email. Great to have a Nespresso machine in the room and a communal lounge with fridge etc too. 5 mins walk from Altstätten Stadt station on the lovely mountain railway to Appenzell and beyond. 20 mins walk or quick bus to Altstätten SG mainline station so easy to get around without a car. Angenehmer Kontakt an der Recéption. Leider gibt es immer mehr Leute welche nicht lesen können,oder sich über alles foutieren( 2 Anschläge an der Türe innen u. aussen Türe immer schliessen. Türe war trotzdem immer offen. Aber da kann das Hotelpersonal ja nichts dafür "
"It was a great stay! I loved the laundry on site and kitchen access. I didn’t realize right away that the check in for parking was separate from checking in for the hotel. So we arrived and weren’t able to park right away. But we called the host, and he was able to help us get a parking space."
