"A very basic minimal motel that happened to be in a nice lake side.
Rooms are very tiny. Pretty much you bang your body to the furniture to get to the bathroom. But it is clean.
The hotel says self check in and self checkout. And breakfast was optional.
The day we arrived we got the code instruction with no human contact. On the instruction said self check in, self check out. Enter the code get your key for check out leave the key in the wooden basket at front desk. Nothing more.
For check in...
"Only the view is great, there is no sink in the kitchenette, you have to get water from washroom sink, no door for the standing shower.
When I made the reservation on Expedia, I selected 1 adult guest and the price shown did not state that adding another guest would cost extra per person per night. The unit is a one-bedroom villa/lake-view apartment with two beds and a large sofa, so it is clearly equipped for more than one person.
However, upon check-in, the managing company demanded an...
"The facilities were clean (toilets, showers). Simple to check in and out.
Note that the hostel is on top of the hill. So each time you would have to climb up and down the Monchsberg.
Some areas of improvement or things to take note:
1. Since it’s next to a nature reserve, there are bugs in the room and your bed if you open the windows. Perhaps bring some bug nets to place over the window.
2. The temperature controls were not working and there was no fan in the room. Two of the three nights...
"I really enjoyed this place. The rooms are cluttered, and some stuff is worn, but it feels like home. The staff were very helpful. We were able to do laundry and really appreciated that. They gave us a free bus pass, which was awesome. We did not have breakfast but the patio is lovely so that might have been nice. Great location. 15 minute walk to the central old town locations."
"Clean spacious apartment. #21 Bus stop into town was right out front of property. Friendly greetings from sign in to check out. We would stay here again."
"Ein schwer auffindbares Haus in einer schmalen Stichstraße, über einen Schlüsseltresor kommt man zum Schlüssel, doch der Zugangscode ist wieder über eine Webseite abzurufen, die man nicht einfach anklicken kann. Kontakt zum Vermieter nicht möglich, auch nicht durch Expedia. Die Einrichtung wahrscheinlich von 1960.
Katastrophe bei 35 Grad mit zwei Kindern."
