"Basic accommodation was expected, but unreliable Wi-Fi was not
I booked knowing it was budget accommodation, so I was perfectly happy with a no-frills place to sleep. However, one thing I was relying on was the advertised Wi-Fi, as I was travelling internationally and needed internet access.
Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi was unreliable throughout my stay. I want to give credit to the gentleman who came twice to try to fix it. He genuinely made an effort, and I appreciated his help.
Although the Wi-Fi...
"High 5 euro surcharge for towels. Keycards rarely worked. We were also not informed that the hotel was undergoing renovation and hallways were filled with painting tarps, painters, and the paint smell. Using the elevator was a hassle and required going up and down multiple stairs and through the entire floorplan."
"Great place 15 minute walk from the city center. They are renovating but everything was clean, there is a grocer 2 minutes away. Full amenities, kitchen, laundret, vending machine, courtyards. Friendly and knowledgeable staff and a local pub across the street. 5 out of 5"
"The staff was great, friendly and very helpful. This was bit too pricey for the bare basic amenities of a backpacking hostel. Over 100 EU a night for a bed in a 12 room dorm on the weekends. They really capitalize on the extras like a $9 EU for a very mediocre breakfast and $6 for a towel rental. There is a supermarket across the street with an awesome $3 build your own breakfast sandwich with all the traditional Irish breakfast fixings that i would highly recommend if you are a budget traveler...
"Great location. Room gets hot and no air control other than a window.
Very loud noise from street and you can hear people walking up and down the stairs and hallways."
"Lovely room, quite location, just a short walk to st stephens park and the beautifull city. We had a fantastic stay, thank you so much, the staff were very helpful and kind."
"It’s not quite central, but The Temple Bar area is a 20-25-minute walk away. The cleaning staff are diligent.
Renting an electrical plug adapter costs 6 euros per night. I walked three minutes to a nearby shop and bought one for 3 euros.
Renting a towel costs an additional 8 euros per night. I bought a three-pack at a store for 9 euros and left the towels for other guests to use. During my stay, I interacted with four or five different receptionists.
Taya and Analia are the most outstanding,...
"The beds were comfortable. The pillows were hard as a rock.It was close to a lot of places to go and there was a co-op grocery and deli with hot things to eat and drink.
Now the negative. The room was small and very little lighting. The room was over the pub and it was noisy through the vents. It was on the 3rd floor and there were 82 steps to get to the room. The stairs were twisty and narrow. Very difficult to bring up luggage. Someone on staff did bring up the heaviest suitcase. The price for...
