"When I was beginning my trip to Thailand, this is the kind of hotel I was yearned for. Something out of the ordinary that really made me felt like I lived in another country. Green Hill Resort nailed it. For me it was an easy 10 minute walk from the pier. Once you get to the hotel, you better love stairs, because reception and the rooms are up them. "What a great place to stay. And like previous reviewers have mentioned it's the management/owners that make this place special. From our pick up at the ferry docks to our departure in a hired van to the nearest airport that the hotel arranged our stay was wonderful. "I wasn’t expecting luxury when I booked my stay at Horizon, but I was at least expecting adequate facilities. The room, with its one lightbulb, small window and mold all over the walls and fan, was dark and dirty. I’ve stayed at some rough hostel, bungalows, and hotels over the years, but this was by far the most disgusting and run-down. If that wasn’t bad enough, during what was supposed to be a four-night stay (I only stayed two because it was so bad), the toilet and shower never worked....

"Really good find, so good we stayed an extra night at a days notice. Seems the double rooms here get booked up quickly but the twin was easy to rebook. Spacious room, good modern shower room, good size balcony and super comfy beds. Cats galore here, im more of a dog person but was taken in by the 7 felines. Owners really lovely, messaged in advance of check in to see if we needed collecting from the car ferry at Koh Lanta Noi, left us chocolates on our NYD room clean. Highly recommended. "

"The chalets were completely inaccessible on the side of a mountain. You couldn’t drive a normal car up to them and to get to them you had to climb up very steep and very wet steps mostly just stones. There is no way you could carry a suitcase. The views were amazing but I never stayed there it was impossible. I believe they are building a road then it should be ok"
