There is a little terrace on roof that we sat on and drank wine. Room was very clean and had everything we needed. Great location! Walked to museums and restaurants and the river. "Hotel is a good value for the money. It is spacious, safe and comfortable. It is about a 10 minute walk from the train station and a 10-20 minute walk to most of the major sites in Florence. The Hotel St. James is across from a park filled with Linden Trees that perfume the park in the evening. I would recommend it to family and friends."

"Very great place to stay as you are right next to many historic sites (Santa Maria Cathedral, Giotto's Bell Tower and more). Staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was delicious, and there is a fantastic view of the cathedral from the rooftop bar! Do note that this hotel is located on the 4th floor (there is an elevator, but it is quite narrow) and the beds were "meh." I would stay here again! "

"the manager was extermely friendly and helpful. We needed an extra room for 2 days when we checked in and he was able to accommodate us and when we didn't need it the next day, he was able to accommodate as well. We had to get a taxi to the airport early and he quickly set it up for us. Everything we needed, he was able to help us. Very friendly staff. "A very short walk from the train station and you arrive at the Hotel Lombardi. First off I loved the old style cage elevator. Very nostalgic. There are 5 steps up to the entrance but after that the elevator "whisks" you to the first floor and the hotel. Check in was very easy and the room was very close to the front desk.
