"This is a basic hotel which was reflected in the price when compared to others but for one night was what we needed. Convenient for access to the motorway & on to gelsenkirchen where we were heading. A few criticisms: 1 - for €12 the breakfast was basic. 2 - parking is tricky particularly for larger vehicles when the car park is nearly full. 3 - when we used the shower water flooded under the door for the shower cubicle & on to the floor of the bathroom."

"I loved the historical nature of this hotel. It was formerly an orphanage and it has been restored to reflect that. The rooms are small, basically the width of a king size bed, (which was gorgeously comfortable), though there was a shower and sink in the room as well. The toilets are down the hall. "Stayed here for two nights for the euros and was perfect location right near Duisburg Station. Hotel was clean and room was spacious, comfy beds and good shower. Staff seemed friendly too. Convenient stay."

"I stayed for one night and visited the Christmas market before I had to catch a plane early the next morning. Room was small but all was great. The hotel is right downtown, great location, small rooms but clean and breakfast was great! Available rooms are either with toilet and shower or some have the toilet down the hallway. "We stayed here for 3 weeks after flying in from the US to visit family in the nearby area. We didn't want to be in a hotel for 3 weeks as we would find that claustrophobic. This was the ideal solution. The park staff were excellent and could communicate easily in English and German if needed. It is extremely quiet here with easy access to the excellent Netherlands freeways. The indoor pool and the swimming lake were loved by my visiting grandkids.
