"Walking distance to ski slopes which is great unless the chairlifts are closed and you can’t ski across. No Ubers and it was a pain to get the shuttle bus to Hirafu where everything is (only 1 per hour). There was only a pizza shop and restaurant next door and a cafe down the road so a quiet village. We hired ski gear through the hotel and it was convenient (finished by 9am) and I think cheaper. The lodge it self was dated, bedroom and common room could use a refresh and upgrade. Price was...
"We stayed as a family of four for 5 nights.
PROS:
- location was great, within walking distance to Anapuri
- the breakfast was great and changed daily which was nice
- the shared bathroom was clean
- it did feel family friendly and we liked meeting other folks in the common area
CONS:
- our room was ok - the heater and fridge didn’t work and it was clean-ish
- you have to walk through the dining area to access the communal showers which felt odd
- the staff also utilized the common areas so...

Excellent location just minutes from the Main Street and restaurants and food trucks. "
"Clean, friendly staff, easy check in, and overall pleasant! Note that breakfast is not available in the summer, which we learned when we arrived. Also, the beds are very springy and uncomfortable. We were super tired so slept fine anyways, but definitely consider if it’s important to you! Overall an easy and cheap stay."
