"The house makes a good impression on the first sight and was perfectly clean. But the kitchen equipment was lacking basics like bread knife (provided on request), a sieve or sufficient amount of bowls. At the stove only 3 of 5 plates worked. Both showers were flooding the bathrooms every time. Sleep was interrupted each night several times by barking dogs in the neighborhood (really noisy) and in two sleeping rooms darkening was not possible. "A spacious apartment and clean linen, plenty of storage with a nice view of the ocean from the balcony. Washing machine was an added bonus but kitchen is outdated and was unusable due to putrid smell coming from drains, en suite bedroom tv shelf was held up by a chair, in the shower room the shower head was wrong size and kept falling out of the holder injuring one persons shoulder and one with a cut on his nose. "The property is close to the Lido Promenade and the views of the Madeira sunset from the balcony are stunning. The apartment is in a well maintained building and had all we needed for a very comfortable stay. The communications with the rental company were very good. They sent videos via WhatsApp to show us how to enter the building and the apartment, where the garbage facilities were located, and other useful information. Lots of pros and no cons. We will certainly look to rebook next year."

I took this in May on Madeira Island, Portugal! This is one of the most majestic sights I saw on this island paradise! Penha d'Aguia (Eagle Rock) is really impressive to see up close. It was even difficult to get all this in one photo. I need a better lens ;). I saw it after visiting a distillery in Porto da Cruz. Just a few meters away is this massive landscape! Porto da Cruz is located on the northeastern side of Madeira, definitely a picturesque part of the island! There was even some swimmers around where I took this picture. Everyone was having a good time there, either on the beach of walking along the pier :). There was other awesome views to the other side, as well. Incredible cliffs that seem to go on forever. And it was even foggy on that side, a big contrast to what you see here. I also think I saw Eagle Rock from another side, as well. And would love to return and see more views of it!!
