"We stayed at Portou House for 5 nights and had an excellent time. Very good location in Chania Old Town. Communication was great from start to finish with Julia being very responsive. We were pleasantly surprised with a bottle of wine for my Partner’s birthday which was a nice touch. The only feedback we would have is that there was no full length mirror - think it would be good to consider including in the rooms. Many thanks Julia and team at Portou House. "

"Wonderful small hotel close to everything. 10 minutes walk from bus station. Port only 5 mins walk, authentic restaurants all around, but not noisy, our room was very clean and comfortable with lovely little touches, raki, sweets, coffee pod's, safe and fridge. "We booked a one bedroomed apartment which was spacious and comfortable. The rooms were cleaned daily and all staff were friendly and approachable. Booking through Hotels.com I was advised that the air con and safety deposit box was included in that price which was a nice surprise. The location is ideal and the local bus service ensures you can easily connect to the other resorts as well as Chania town which is a nice trip out. The shower was at head height which you’ll appreciate is a luxury...

"This is an absolutely fantastic hotel which is owned and run by a really lovely family. Everything is spotless from the public areas to our room. It is about a forty minute walk to the centre of Chania which was fine for us as we enjoy walking but there is a service bus a couple of minutes away. "

"The location of this studio apartment is absolutely spot on. Walk out of your door and you are seconds away from the tavernas, tiny quaint streets and shops of the old town. The people who work for the Elia hotel group are lovely, helpful and friendly. Check in was super simple. The apartment was cleaned everyday. And new towels every day. The room itself was in great condition, with modern decor. We absolutely loved our stay. The only slight negative was the noise from upstairs and outside...
