"When we arrived after a day's walk on the camino, the bartender was less than friendly, almost surly and advised us to wait for check-in. He was much friendlier the next day but first impressions count. The check-in older woman could have been his mother based on her equally unfriendly lack of welcome, however she too improved over time.
