"I checked in to the Rodeway and immediately noticed the room was filthy and the television didn’t work. There was fecal matter (not a little, but a lot) on the toilet seat and the air conditioning unit was so dirty I didn't want to touch it. I spoke to the gentleman at the desk and told him I could not stay there because of what I had seen. He offered other rooms but I was not interested and asked for a refund. "This property (unknowingly) was under major renovation. construction was ongoing, our room (when assigned) was still dirty, unsecure and the window was broken, open & unable to close. We LEFT without staying, yet they still refused to refund our payment. Finally after MANY phone calls they refunded HALF of it.....pitiful."

"It was very charming with a great concept. However, lodging details were a bit misleading as far as communal bathrooms were concerned. It was quite loud throughout the night with continuous train traffic and being able to hear everything in adjacent room. Was difficult to sleep. The staff we did meet were very friendly and it was clean. We enjoyed our free beverage on the patio at check in. We were disappointed that there was no food left but yogurt and apples in the morning, long before...
