"Perfect location, all staff members are lovely, very spacious rooms in a gorgeous old building, highly recommend!"

"The hotel is in a great location. In walking distance for all sightseeing. We had a rental car, so parking was about 15 minutes away. You need to be careful about driving into a ZTL (traffic zones), which could result in a fine. (We did not realize this.) Hotel staff informed us of where to park and which streets to avoid the ZTL. Unfortunately, the air conditioning in our room did not work very well and it was very warm at night. Loved the area. Would stay here again."

"Very nice for the price, good breakfast not the typical US breakfast, this one is very good, excellent. Even though the construction is a little bit old, the building is well maintained. Room very clean, comfortable bed with clean and iron sheets, bathroom good, everything very nice, it has a good location but there is a construction going on right now, they are building the line that is going directly to the Florence airport, so very good for them."

Sadly we never got his name, but the guy at the front desk sat us down at the beginning of the trip and gave us advice about things to see and do in Florence. It was also really thoughtful that there was water left in our room everyday - most of the hotels we have stayed at in Italy haven’t done this. 100% would recommend this hotel!"

"Our family enjoyed our stay at Villa Castiglione very much. The room was very clean and the air conditioning worked extremely well. We enjoy having spritz and wine on the restaurant patio overlooking wine country. In the evenings we had some excellent meals at the restaurant. "If you don’t mind walking up the stairs to the fourth floor (I didn’t), it’s a really nice accommodation. The staff is very nice and helpful. The location is great, just 3 minutes from the square and Palazzo Pubblico. My room was nicely renovated and had a spacious and comfortable bathroom."

We booked three nights, but the room assigned to us was directly next to a terrace where guests were drinking, talking loudly, and making noise for hours late into the night. The disturbance was so severe that we were unable to sleep at all.
