"Loved our stay first time in Salida. The owner is awesome he tries to please all his guest and is added more amenities so his guest have everything. There was a sauna and huge hot tub. The pool was closed because it was in October so didn’t expect it to be but hot tub was perfect. Our cabin was big it had a king size bed with night stands a recliner. Bathroom with a tub, we also had an outside and front porch with chairs and rocking chairs and a bbq pit. The breakfast was a simple breakfast but...
"The property is old and not well maintained. Our room, the family room, had black marks and holes in the bathroom mirror, the floor moved and made loud sounds when someone walked in the other room, the AC made loud generator sounds that kept us up for a while every time it kicked on, and the most puzzeling bathroom setup with the door opening to a counter with sink, forcing you to turn sideways to enter. Definitely could not fit someone large or someone with a mobility device in the bathroom....
"Had issues with the lock mechanism, which did get prompt remote response, but the door continued to misbehave. Heat provided by plug-in space heater. Noisy from poorly sealed A/C unit. Bed comfy, pillows OK. Fridge froze my stuff. Keurig was OK, but only 2 rounds of coffee for 3 night stay. No designated place to hang clothes or set a bag, besides the table. TV/programming was non-functional, not a big deal personally. Solid for price."
"Nice, friendly staff mostly doing the best they can with a property that is way past its prime. The bad: loose and badly cracked floor tiles in the bathroom, robe hook falling off from the wall, grounds mostly covered in weeds, requested towels on Friday and finally gave up Saturday night and went and got them ourselves, needed our key cards replaced almost every day. The good: comfortable bed, shower looked like it was newly redone, breakfast buffet was basic but clean and well stocked by a...
"We stayed in one of the trailer homes. It was cute but not worth the trouble of using a shared bathroom. Also the heat was not great. The breakfast is just coffee juice yogurt muffin."
"Clean, affordable, and cozy motel that's great for short or long stays. Our room was a studio with a full kitchen (full sized refrigerator and a stove)! The room was spotless and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We did not have a single issue during our 2 night stay. And the (very clean) hot tub is open 24/7 as long as you're quiet at night. It's a 15 min walk to Riverside Park and the downtown area. There is road construction in front of the motel at the time of this review,...
"The advertising photo of the nice cabin is not the cabin we got and booking was misleading. No AC, no water, no bathroom, just the cabin and two outlets. The advertising is misleading as there was no coffee. The coffee house pictured is not open. The people were very nice, it was quiet and it looks like they are really trying to do some nice improvements. The shared shower house and bathrooms are very nice, just a long walk in the middle of the night. It was very nice for having our dog along...
"This property was disappointing. After a two night stay, it felt like the cost was 2 or 3 times what it should have been for an old roadside motel. Tiny rooms. No furniture except nightstand on one side of bed. No place to put anything other than on the floor in walkway from bed to bathroom. Useless tiny closet. Minimal electric outlets (no USB) with heavy use of extension cords. Bathroom sink way lower than normal height. Weak water pressure in shower, and no exhaust fan in tiny bathroom....
"A really good experience. We all appreciated the proximity to Buena Vista as well as the privacy from all the craziness of the music festival this weekend.
Everything was as advertised."
