"The room smelt as soon as we entered, couldn’t distinguish if it was body odour or smoke. It was suffocating. Soon realised it was smoke, all the linen stank of it, especially the blankets and towels. It was impregnated into everything. This along with the lumpy pillows and mattress that caved in made for very little sleep. "Overall an excellent stay, room was good so was check in including accommodating dogs. I have scored low on service mainly because of the overnight porter/reception attendant. Twice on leaving and entering the hotel to let dogs relieve themselves including 5am there was absolutely no acknowledgement to our greeting to him or even eye contact to either my partner or myself which we both felt was rude and not very good for customer service. "It is a quaint little place, nice location and the staff are friendly. Unfortunately it is let down a serious lack of parking. I had to park on the street 15 minutes walk away. The shower in our room was a trickle and my partner was cold all night. The rooms are big with old style heating so not very effective, plus one radiator in the room did not seem to be working."

"Meine Reservation, wurde aufgrund eines Besitzerwechsels einfach als ungültig erklärt, dies habe ich erst erfahren, als ich vor Ort war, sie bemühten sich zwar mir ein Hotel in der nähe zu organisieren..... Eigentlich enttäuscht bin ich von ebookers.ch, weil eindeutig geschrieben wird, dass kein Telefon zur Bestätigung notwendig ist, hab mich auch darauf verlassen, mein Fehler, werde künftig selber im Hotel reservieren."

"This is a very typical small French hotel, although better appointed than many we have stayed in, Room was cosy but clean, quiet, warm (we stayed in Jan) and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was good. Having the bar and restaurant attached was useful, although this is only a short walk from the centre of Beaune with all it's sights, bars and restaurants. Lots of parking was also a bonus."
